Tutto sembra che fili per il verso giusto; il nuovo motore con la piastra anteriore di supporto originale dell'epoca, il cambio Triumph 2000 ecc. hanno trovato la loro collocazione nel telaio della GT6R. Adesso sono in attesa della ultimazione della testata che ha subito innumerevoli lavorazioni atte ad ottenere il massimo dal motore.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;After some time here I am again to speak of GT6R and its history. Non ho riscontrato nessun problema nella sostituzione dei mozzi in alluminio al posto degli originali in fusione e le nuove piastre per le pinze sono risultate perfette. Un solo modello di pinza freno in alluminio ricavata dal pieno che per essere montata, aveva bisogno di vari adattamenti ai supporti, in base alle esigenze di ciascuna auto. Nel fine settimana procederò al montaggio.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Fortunately exist still person who work for passion. Inizio il 2007 con la volontà di aggiornare il reparto freni anteriori; dopo un pò di tribolazioni per adattere le pinze AR Girling in alloy, ho progettato un paio di nuovi supporti pinza che sono attualmente in lavorazione. Per completare il reparto freni-mozzi anteriori, ho comprato dal mio amico David (Canley Classics) i mozzi in alluminio. Quando ho aperto la confezione......... stupore!!!! Questo motore è dello stessa generazione, medesima serie e uguali caratteristiche di quello "T2000 works rallye cars" che fu montato sulla GT6R nel 1966. E' stato prodotto tra il 1963 e il 65 ed ha delle caratteristiche proprie che poi, nelle serie seguenti (Gt6-Vitesse-2000/2500,TR5/6 ecc.) sono state modificate. Caratteristica determinante è la presenza ai lati del blocco cilindri di particolari sagome, che si trovano al posto delle fusioni per il montaggio delle staffe di supporto del motore (presenti sulle serie successive) non necessarie perchè il motore era fissato direttamente al telaio grazie alla conformazione della piastra motore anteriore, provvista di braccetti sagomati. Si tratta di una serie molto rara e questo esemplare viene dagli U.S.A. Semplice. Si procede a sistemare quello che non và, si aggiorna quello che va già abbastanza bene e si ottimizza quello che và bene. Un particolare che mi ha dato qualche problema di insonnia durante l'assemblaggio della GT6R R è stato il collettore di scarico. Originale ne esiste solo uno ed è nelle sicure mani di David a Coventry. Il primo progetto, che è quello attualmente montato sulla GT6R R, prevedeva la modifica ad un collettore in ghisa di serie con la trasformazione a doppia uscita anzichè singola, come nell'originale. Il lavoro è stato fatto abbastanza bene ma il collettore non è il massimo in fatto di resa. Garantisce una grande coppia in basso ma soffre agli alti regimi. Grazie a David, ho la possibilità di fare una copia dell'originale ma questa volta in acciaio inox. Ho fatto il progetto e ho trovato la persona giusta che si occuperà della realizzazione. Sarà identico all'originale ma in S.S. anzichè in ghisa. Durante l'assemblaggio della GT6R-R, questo particolare non ha avuto la necessaria attenzione. Quindi cosa si poteva fare? Adesso, ho trovato un cambio conforme all'originale che tra le altre cose è molto più robusto e ha i rapporti delle prime 3 marce più corti rispetto al GT6. Veramente molto curata la costruzione, un grazie di cuore a Mark. Il montaggio è avvenuto con l'utilizzo di rivetti a differente sezione; a fine montaggio, è stata la volta della stuccatura nelle giunzioni fino ad arrivare alla successiva verniciatura. Un aneddoto; dopo vane ricerche, Mark mi dà una dritta. Le maniglie del bauletto usate sulle "factory cars" sono di origine Massey Ferguson"......un trattore!!!!!!! Mentre ero al mare, mi è capitato di vedere un trattore FIAT 701 del 1971 che montava proprio quelle maniglie per la chiusura del cofano motore. Ho chiesto al proprietario del trattore di verdermele ma purtroppo niente da fare. Allora al ritorno dal mare, mi sono recato al Consorzio Agrario più vicino, e grazie alla disponibilità dell'addetto, ho recuperato 2 maniglie di quel modello di trattore. E' quello che è successo con il cofano in fiberglass, acquistato da uno specialista inglese, che lo produce sia per le 4 che per le 6 cilindri. Per la GT6R, malgrado il possente motore 6 cilindri, la scelta obbligata era il cofano LeMans Spitfire senza la gobba come sulla macchina originale. Purtroppo, malgrado tutta la mia buona volontà, non sono riuscito a accettare il cofano così come prodotto, perchè sò che alla lunga, lo avrei smontato e rifatto. In pratica, il cofano cosi come lo compri, è ottimamente rifinito ma non è molto conforme alle forme originali del vero cofano LeMans, soprattutto sui parafanghi. Quindi, con tanta pazienza, abbiamo utilizzato il vecchio cofano in lamiera per ricostruire con la schiuma poliuretanica e stucco, l'esatta forma dei passaruota, e con l'aiuto del mago della vetroresina, sono stati prodotti gli stampi che mi hanno permesso di ottenere i parafanghi adatti. Quindi sono stati tagliati i parafanghi originali non conformi, e assemblati con colle e rivetti i nuovi manufatti con le feritore di scarico dell'aria posizionate esattamente come sull'originale. Un lavoro molto lungo e laborioso, ma adesso il cofano è esemplare unico, così come tutta la macchina. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;When one assembles a “special car”, exists the concrete possibility of having to proceed to of the workings that you had not previewed in preventive phase. Come per l'originale, un grosso lavoro è stata la conversione di un body shell GT6 in uno Spitfire; dopo lunghe ricerche, finalmente sono stati recuperati i lamierati che caratterizzano la Spitfire come la traversa posteriore che separa l'abitacolo dal bagagliaio, il supporto del dashboard con gli strumenti messi al centro, i profili longitudinali che delimitano il cofano bagagli ecc.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Come si nota dalle foto, è stato tagliato il tetto in lamiera per lasciare il posto al tetto in fiberglass.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;In occasione di un viaggio in UK, sono state riprese le misure dei serbatoi in alluminio originali LE MANS tank, a capienza maggiorata, che venivano impiegati sulle Spitfire WORKS CAR e grazie alla passione di un artigiano, è stato riprodotto un serbatoio copia degli originali.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;The project car has been a 68' GT6 MKII 1 in very bad conditions, that it has constituted the base on which then has been assembled the GT6R.
